Eighteen-year-old Tennoko Mihana is a skilled kunoichi, living with her adoptive family in Anchorage, Alaska. With butterfly wings that she can materialize at will to take flight, she is a faerie of sorts. As an alien hybrid of reptile and amphibian, she assumes a human form to walk among the humans in order to live a peaceful, quiet life. She was born with incredibly potent magic power and gifted with healing properties; she possesses the power of chlorokinesis and psychokinesis. Only her adoptive family -- four female, long-lived masters in their own right -- know of Mihana's true origins. These band of women are kunoichi and a secretive group that prefers not to have much attention upon themselves. On the surface, the women are simple business owners of their own respective establishments. In the shadows, however, they are assassins known as the "Black Lotus", hunters of malicious yokai that threaten humanity. Nahimana Tennoko, the leader of this group, is the one who adopted Mihana as her daughter.Mihana is from another planet that consisted of the fae folk, which was sadly destroyed by an invasion. Whether or not she is the last of her kind is unknown. A male warrior, a member of her species, is the one who brought Mihana to Earth via space pod and was instructed by an important figure of her planet to seek out Nahimana so she could take care of the baby. He crashed landed in Monaco, while the Black Lotus group -- Nahimana, Suyin, Agnes, and Claire -- were hiding out in Monaco City, Agnes' hometown, after doing a big mission in the U.S. With his dying breath, the warrior explains to Nahi that the baby was born with incredible raw magic power and there was a power crystal hidden within her body. However, half of her power was magically sealed as a means of protecting her and not destroying her surroundings. Nahi was the best candidate to take care of her, and per his instructions, the warrior offered the women wealth and other valuables that was native to their planet, along with having something to remind the child who she is and where she came from. Nahi agreed, since she's always wanted a child of her own, and the soldier passed on from his fatal injuries. Since that day forward, Nahi, Agnes, Suyin, and Claire cared for the little girl as if she were their precious treasure; Mihana Aika Tennoko would be her name.Mihana's childhood was marked by a sense of solitude and introspection, at least until she met her close group of friends. Despite her being given a human form through magic, she still felt like an outsider because of who she is underneath. If she wasn't spending her days with the four women, she would be reading a book somewhere in her lonesome, playing with the animals, or watching the humans in secret in her miniscule form. As a young girl, she lived in Monaco with the Black Lotus, though she was unaware of their true purpose there. During this time, she discovered her natural affinity for nature. She could communicate with animals and easily befriend them; her aura could tame even the unruliest animals. She can materialize any flora and vegetation at will after coming into physical contact with them and saw spirits that few others could see. She even had the ability to heal dead flowers and trees with a mere touch, bringing them back to full bloom, along with healing injuries unintentionally. Mihana learned of her healing factor after getting a scar on her hand from playing one day; the scar closes a few moments later. And lastly, she is able to turn herself into a miniscule fairy -- a ball of light with butterfly wings at the naked eye. Her ability to use magic was remarkable, even at a young age. Suyin, the archmage of the group, sensed the immense magic force within her, knowing that with training, Mihana could become a powerful sorcerer. Nahi, her mother, recognized the need to teach the little girl how to use her abilities properly, along with learning to defend herself. When she was 8 years old, Mihana, along with her mother and aunts, moved to Anchorage, Alaska, where they settled into their new home, ready to begin a new chapter in their lives.The four women trained Mihana in various disciplines, including hand-to-hand combat, swordsmanship, firearms handling, magical spells, and more. They recognized the importance of guiding her to use her vast magical potential for good and taught her to have a strong moral compass. Under the tutelage of the four women, Mihana learned a wide variety of skills: taijutsu, ninjutsu, genjutsu, swordfighting, gunhandling, and various magic spells. Despite her peaceful nature and initial apprehensions about the intensity of the training, Mihana showcased exceptional skill as a swordsman, particularly in Iaijutsu, and demonstrated gifted healing abilities. As she matured, she became a near-unparalleled sorcerer, capable of wielding nature itself -- along with the elements -- as a weapon and even materializing flora for offence and defense. All of this is while she is at half power, unknowing to herself, and the women could only imagine how her power would be if half of her power was not sealed. Suyin is determined to turn her into an archmage like herself because of this very fact since she knows Mihana must unlock her full power eventually in her life. On her 13th birthday, she is gifted her weapon, named the Yūrei Chō - a katana hidden within a multi-purpose wagasa umbrella, made with technology infused with magic.

Mihana's teenage years were far from ordinary. Upon receiving her weapon, the Black Lotus sent her on solo missions to hone her skills and test her magic abilities. These tasks ranged from gathering intel and spying on criminal organizations in her fairy form to capturing criminals in secret missions across the U.S., particularly in Alaska, where she would assist the police discreetly. As part of her psychokinesis, she had the unique powers of telepathy and aura vision, enabling her to read minds and locate opponents by detecting their brainwaves and anticipating their next moves. When the police arrived to collect the criminals, they were often left scratching their heads as they stumbled upon an array of petal-covered ground, with no idea where they came from or what significance they held. Although her missions were often successful, she occasionally encountered minor yokai disturbances, which she effortlessly managed.In her civilian life, Mihana is a quiet and observant young woman who recently graduated from high school. She works happily at the Four Seasons Provisions, her family's farmers market, and helps out on the family's farm in their privately owned Spring Blossom Valley. Currently in her first year of college, she is pursuing a major in botany, toxicology, and nursing, with minors in creative writing and business. Motivated by her desire to help others, she is determined to absorb as much knowledge as possible in these fields, using her power for positive purposes rather than solely for fighting. With humble aspirations, Mihana dreams of opening her own floral shop and becoming a nurse, using her knowledge of healing magic and herbalism. Like any other young girl, she longs to marry and start a family. However, a significant dilemma plagues her - finding a partner who would accept her true nature. Being a reptilian/amphibian in disguise, she wonders who would want to be with her. Aware of the complexities of leading a double life, she struggles to maintain a balance between her life as a kunoichi and her human facade.
